Unseen Infarctions

With the introduction of our 22-lead ECG at the ESC congress in London in 2015, the number of overlooked infarctions could be reduced dramatically in the future.

According to current statistics the first ECG registered with infarction patients when in hospital are conclusive only in 50% of the cases. This seems to be logical, considering that a conventional ECG covers only 100 out of 360 degrees of the hearts circumference. The guidelines are very clear about the need to register a complete ECG, including the lateral and posterior walls of the heart, when in suspicion of an acute myocardial infarction. However, in practice this would require to attach additional electrodes also on the back of the patient. This is cumbersome and time consuming and hence is most commonly not performed.

CardioSecur PRO overcomes the above-mentioned confinements of a conventional 12-lead ECG. It allows physicians to attain a full 360-degree view of the heart. The 50-gram light system, for smartphones and tablets, requires only 4 electrodes in very marked positions on the patient’s body. CardioSecur hence allows for unequally more detailed and faster diagnosis. CardioSecur combines mobility with highest diagnostic power and redefines the world of ECG.
